This sparkling musical with its sense of fun & catchy tunes began life as an intimate late evening entertainment piece for a private London club in 1953. Such was its reception that Sandy Wilson was soon persuaded to extend it into a three Act show. Still in essence retaining its origins as an intimate snapshot into the original shows of the 1920's this piece is revived more often than original shows of the time. Evocative of the period it is set in (1926): a time of halcyon days, slap bang in the middle of two world wars and just before the Great Depression, it was a time where life was simple and happiness seemingly easy to achieve. It's many notable numbers such as "Won't you Charleston with me" and "A Room in Bloomsbury" dance around your head as we follow the young couples to the heady day of a marriage proposal!
